Kota Kinabalu (pop 500,000) is the state capital of Sabah. Almost all of the town was destroyed during the 2nd World War and has been completely rebuilt with a number of new and impressive buildings. Drive up Signal Hill for a bird’s eye view of the town and the surrounding South China Sea. The 32 – storey Sabah Foundation Headquarters in Likas Bay is the only building in Asia with column – free floors. City Mosque, Po Toh Tze Temple, very colorful Chinese Buddhist temple with a statue of Kuan Yin, depart for Sea Bajau Water Village, local market highlights the close relationship between the farmer Kadazandusun.
