Mount Trusmadi or Trus Madi (Malay: Gunung Trusmadi) is Malaysia’s second highest mountain at 2,642 metres (8,668 ft). It lies in the state of Sabah, close to Mount Kinabalu, on the island of Borneo. The mountain supports a wide range of unique flora and fauna, including Nepenthes macrophylla, a species of pitcher plant.

Day 01

Departfrom your hotel at 0630hrs by bus to Tambunan. Arriving Tambunan stop for shopping . Then depart by 4WD vehicle to Mount Trusmadi base camp. start trek to Taman Bunga where you will camp a night. Our guide will start preparing every things for overnight.(Lunch/ Dinner)

Day 02

In a good weather morning, you can see view of Mount Kinabalu at the northern part so much spectacular. After breakfast, depart at 0730hrs for the final ascent to the summit of Mount Trusmadi, You may properly take 3 hours walk to summit and explore the surrounding and try to discover some rare pitcher plants. Return to Taman Bunga in the evening for another night stay. (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

Day 03

Descent to Mount Trusmadi base camp where the 4WD will be waiting foryou and then you will be transferred to Tambunan. After lunch , depart by bus back to hotel.(Breakfast/ Lunch)

Mount Trusmadi is the second highest mountain in Sabah 3000M above sea level, and is a one of the famous as a botanical paradise. Starting point ( base camp ) at an altitude of 1200m above sea level and 100 km from Kota kinabalu.Temperature 15C. Flowering plant, orchids, Rhododendrons, Chesnuts oaks trees, Pitcherplants. Birds and Mammals.

The Crocker Range is a forest covered mountain range which stretches in a south westerly direction from Mount Kinabalu towards the Sabah – Sarawak border. It separates the coastal plains from the interior regions. Frequently shrouded in rain clouds, the peak rise to between 1200 – 1800 meters above sea and coastal plains. Formerly a forest reserve, its 1399 square kilometers became a national park in 1984. 

Note: Temperature at night could go down to 10°C. You are recommended to bring your own sleeping bag, Therma-Rest or sleeping mat. However, mosquito net will be provided. Porters will be available to carry part of your belongings with your backpack or knapsack. All trekkers are required to fill in a confidential Medical Information Form and Indemnity Form which will be provided during pre-briefing session prior to commencement of tour.
